the specialist will ask you how long you have been ttc and weather or not you have children already and or been pregnent b4 now……….. if its been awhile ttc you may be put on clomid or you may be asked weather or not you would try ivf……….. you will have blood tests done for your hormones and have an internal ultrasound done to check your uturas and ovaries …………… and your partner may also have a semen analisis …not all in the first visit ..but over a few weeks this may take place…good luck …dont be nervious cuase its really not all that bad…they are very caring and they listen to what you have to say and make sure you ask lots of questions……………. write them down and take with you as you may forget what you want to ask when you get there …all the best hope it all works out for you
My first appointment was a consulation with the doctor. We talked in detail about my cycles and I took my charts because I had been charting my BBT. He did not do an internal exam at that time he set me up for a HSG and a pelvic ultrasound to make sure everything was ok. I was also set up for CD 3 and day21 bloodwork. After that was completed we set up a follow up to discuss results and set a course of action. He also made my DH give a semen sample. Good luck at your appointment. I hope it goes smoothly for you!

how is your period, is it regular or iregular. Semen analysis for your husband and some of blood test for you.
Last time they had done the HSG to me.
If there is nothing wrong with your tube then the doctor is gonna give you the medicine.
My doctor gave me FEMARA because clomid did not work for me.

They will go through your history - medical and family.
Organise tests (get used to feeling like a pin cushion) and possibly start you on medication. They may do a physical while your there.
Also will make a return appt for results.
