Make sure he gets enough zinc and selenium and also Vitamins C and E. All have been shown to promote healthy sperm production and viability. Vitamin C helps prevent clumping of sperm and increases motility. Vitamin E has long been known as the fertility vitamin. It helps maintain healthy hormone levels. All also act as antioxidants which are pro-fertility.

Get your husband to eat pumpkin seeds for a healthy prostate gland and therefore healthy semen production and also brazil nuts as they are rich in both zinc and selenium. Eating around 3-4 a days will provide optimal levels of selenium…approx 75mcg selenium per nut.
Also the herb Maca (Lepidium Meyenii) can boost sperm count, motility and semen volume. As a bonus it also increases libido.

There is also an Ayurvedic product called Speman that is being sold to help promote healthy sperm. I don’t know how effective this is. Maca should be enough along with the vitamins and minerals zinc and selenium.

    Hope this helps.
    Best wishes.

    edit/add:
Don’t forget your own pre-natal vitamins and minerals.
Also, in addition to yourself, make sure your husband gets enough folic acid.

An snippet of info you might be interested in:
The chemical name for vitamin E : tocopherol, comes from the greek words "tokos", meaning offspring, and "phero", meaning to bear…hence why it is known as the fertility/anti-sterility vitamin.

It should help also if your husband stays away from cigerettes, alcohol and other known pollutants. Purchase organic milk as ordinary milk could be full of hormone-disrupting compounds that lower testosterone…the latter which is a key hormone for male fertility as well as libido.

  2. Lolly9 Says:

Zinc! you can get from health store.

  3. neuro_man Says:

try to give him oat meal for breakfast. Heard that it rejuvinates fertility. You should be careful with pills because they do have some side effects.

  4. mary theodoridis Says:

All the zinc, selenium, high dose vitamin C and E in the world will not increase a man’s sperm count up to the normal range of at least 5 000 000/mL. If his sperm have DNA damage then the above therapy may improve this a little, enough for studies to show ICSI has a slightly higher success rate.
I promise you if your husband is infertile and he takes these meds and you DON’T do ICSI/IVF you still wont get pregnant.
Actually a lot of men with low sperm counts used to offer their wives a divorce (the honorable thing) or they agreed to the use of donor sperm. Now all these couples are exposing their marriages and ultimately happiness to greedy specialists.
