Sounds like endometrial biopsy for the sample of the uterus lining.

As far as the gas in the uterus for fallopian tube blockage that sounds like a laparoscopy, but that sounds sort of painful.

They both sound sort of uncomfortable, I would make sure the doctor said no anesthesia or light sedation.

when he checks your uterus, he is checking for endometriosis, or abnormal cell division. The uterus has to be ready for implantation and be healthy. They put gas into the tubes to help see, then they xray it. He should be putting dye into the tube to see how easily it flows through. this helps them see if the sperm can flow without problems. The gas has a tendency to travel up to the shoulders, which can be painful and hurt. Remember, any time you have questions about the procedures, don’t hesitate to ask. You are paying him and you deserve to understand it all. I went through invitro fertilization for years. I hope you have success. The procedure of getting scrapes of the uterus lining is a pap smear. There is a ton of info on the internet on all of these procedures. Good Luck
