Your Dr will have to order it. He (or she) will be the one to interpret the findings anyway. It is only a tech who performs the test. After trying for a year, you should ask your OG/gyn for a referral to an RE.
Good luck to you! My HSG in 11-05 showed both tubes blocked, so I had a laparoscopy to open one up. The other was too far gone. Over 2 1/2 years after we started trying, we now have a 5 week old baby boy!!!
You should call your insurance company and ask them directly. Every plan is different. At the very least, your doctor will have to order the HSG so they know where to send results. Best wishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Hope you’ll be hearing the sweet sound of your very own baby crying and cooing by this time next year!
