Even women with absolutely no problems don’t always ovulate each month, regardless of having a perfectly normal menstrual cycle. So yes, it is possible.
I’d recommend trying a few at-home ovulation predictor tests. They should be able to give you some answers and, at the very least, pinpoint exactly when you are ovulating (if you regularly are). After all, it’s not day 14 for ALL women, so perhaps you’re just trying at the wrong time!
I too had trouble conceiving even though I had regular periods. I was put on Clomid to try and stimulate the ovulation and I had to go into the clinic to check my hormone levels every day until they peaked at which point we were advised to ‘try’ a bit harder - if you get my drift.
It didn’t work for me but it has done for several people I know.
BTW I now have a beautiful baby girl through IVF.
Good luck.
