You can only get pregnant while ovulating. However, spem can live in your body for up to 72 hours so that needs to be taken into consideration as well.
semen that has been ejaculated into your vagina can last 3-5 days…so when you ovulate, your egg is dispatched from the ovary, the fingers on the fallopian tubes draw in the egg and by this time, the semen has reached the fallopian tube where they get together and form an ovum
so, if you have unprotected intercourse on day 9, the semen could last up until that point where your period would normally begin…
now remember, your period is the result of the succulent endometrium sloughing off because there was no fertilized ovum that implanted into the endometrium…
it is rare, but when your period starts, it will not stop, but there had been a few reported cases where the period started, implantation occurred and the period stopped and pregnancy began…
now, the 14 days is only good if your cycle is 28 days..if your cycle is 30 days, it would be day 15…if you have an irregular cycle…good luck
If you are having sex and not using any contraceptives, This is VERY IMPORTANT to you!! PEOPLE consieve while a woman is ovulating. Woman ovaluate USUALLY 14 days from the first day of their period, BUT NOT ALWAYS! In my time, trying to have sex "at the right time" was called natural child protection or something like that. I knew a lot about it then, had done research. being 17 I thought I knew everything. My daughter is 42 that I gave birth to when I was 17 years old. This method doesn’t always work. I was extremely regular, but I didn’t know that sperm could stay alive up to 5 days, especially male sperm and that an ovary egg can be fertilized for days. It varies in each individual. In this climate in to days world, I honestly think you need to protect yourself from pregnancy as well as a SUV. There is just to many different incurable sexual diseases. Do your research and insist on protection for yourself.
