When you are in your 40’s the chances of you having a baby with down syndrome is EXTREMELY high! Also with your age, and other problems it will be very difficult to conceive, and carry a healthy baby. Why not adopt, and save a life?

i have pcos and a bicornute uterus i used to have pid but it got treated, i was 17 at the time and was told i couldnt have kids because of how badly damaged my tubes and ovarys were. i fell pregnant naturally at 19 with my daughter who was planned. they arent always right, there is still always a chance you can get pregnant. obviously at your age the chance is lower anyway but it doesnt mean its impossible. with the right doctor and help you can do it but think carefully because there are a lot of issues related to age in getting pregnant. im not going to judge you for wanting a baby at your age because i know how it feels, but consider the pros and cons because the babys life is more important that your ‘wants’ but im not going to decide for you thats completely your choice. good luck.

    1. One does not "fall pregnant". It occurs from sexual intercourse.
    2. Often, those gynecological problems indicate that one could not carry a fetus to term.
    3. Babies conceived after the age of 40 have a high index of malformation/retardation.
    4. How does your husband feel about this risky undertaking?
    5. The internet fertility doctor is off on Saturdays. Consult your own.

I had my first baby at age 36 and my second at age 46. Sounds like you’re good to go!

You are NOT too old to have/raise a baby, and those folks are showing their ignorance!

If you are 35 and older and have been trying for 6 months see a specialist, if you are younger and have been trying for at least 1 year go see a specialist. I think you two should defin. see a fertility specialist! Please DO NOT WAIT! My boyfriend and I have been trying for 1-2 years and that’s when I knew something was wrong.
I found out that I had PCOS and his sperm was slow, so we are on our 2nd cycle of Clomid and IUI which is the cheaper way to go then IVF. IUI and Clomid is what Jon and Kate Plus 8 used when she found out she had PCOS
Here is a refferal to 2 great specialists:
Dr. Collin Smikle and Dr. Lee Kao they are partners at Laurel Fertility Care. Their website is http://www.laurelivf.com
They both have graduated from top teir schools like YALE
