He does more than just untie womens tubes. 5 people that i know went to him but it was to get their tubes untied and they all became pregnant within a year of having the surgery.

First ask her to get a second opinion. Some infertility specialist don't require you to be referred. You should try calling around and see what you come up with. Good Luck
Usually needing a referral is an insurance issue. If you have an HMO plan, you may need that referral. Otherwise, please double-check your insurance coverage, as you may not need that referral.
If your insurance Does indicate that your need a referral and you've been trying to conceive (ttc) for 1 year (at your age of 24) or more, you certainly seem to need a specialist, especially since a Reproductive Endorcrinologist has techniques which can circumvent your cervical mucus problem. Honestly, if it has been a year and you've asked your OB/GYN directly face-to-face for a referral, and s/he still refuses, it's time for a new Dr.!! Explain your history to your new Dr.; 1 year or more of ttc for a 24-year-old woman with a known medical issue is enough history to get a referral. You employ a Dr. to help give you the results you want. If your Dr. isn't doing that, you are perfectly within your rights to find one who will.
HI,
Maybe your doc wants to make sure that you're healthy enough to conceive, carry, and deliver a baby…..Cervical dysplasia is common, but serious…please talk to your doc about what comes first as far as treatment. I'm not sure, but I can sympathize…Please don't give up hope.
Are you ovulating? Call and bug the dr all the time i did that and they got annoyd and sent me to a R.E and i am not being treated for infertility due to a brain tumor on my pituitary gland.

You can always go for a second opinion. Go to an obgyn, with your records, and see what they say.
