It really depends on the the woman . . . many younger women (under 40) with good good egg reserve will use their own eggs. They will go through the IVF meds, have their own eggs retrieved, fertilized and transfered back completely bypassing the fallopian tubes.
Some older women (their eggs may not be of good quality) or women with a history of miscarriage due to chromosomal defects AND blocked tubes (or having their tubes tied) will opt to go with donor eggs.
If the eggs are healthy use she can use her own eggs. The IVF part is done just to minimize the risk of having an etopic pregnancy. Blocked tubes and prevent a fertilized egg from traveling down to implant in the uterine wall. IVF will do the egg retrieval and implant the fertilized egg directly in the uterus. this process just skips over the tubes. Hope this helps.

If your ONLY problem is blocked tubes then you would use your own eggs. Some women use IVF for other reasons, in which case they may use donor eggs.
